Hit the Hay!

A VERY powerful study was done awhile ago on what REALLY causes obesity. I’m sure you’re thinking what most of us think…overeating and lack of exercise, right?

Well of course that will help or hinder BUT there are 3 traits that make an even BIGGER difference. Here they are, listed in order of importance:

1. short sleep duration (< 6 hours/day)
2. high disinhibition eating behavior
3. low dietary calcium intake (< 600 mg/day)

Crazy right?? The #1 trait predicted to cause weight gain is lack of sleep!!! #2 is of course associated with binge eating (DUH!) and #3 is calcium consumption (which is low because of all the processed CRAP out there).

You need at least 7 hours of uninterrupted sleep a night. It is SO important to your health…make no exceptions!
